Songs of the Ocotillo EXHIBITION at MIXHAUS GALLERY in Comfort, TX

ON VIEW extended through MAY 31, 2026 (OPEN Fri, Sat, Sun in Comfort)

Texans Lucy Griffith and Darlene Marwitz collaborate in SONGS OF THE OCOTILLO, mixing poetic and visual art that pays homage to the iconic and beloved plant of the Chihuahuan Desert. Griffith’s words conjure the spirit and resilience of the waving ocotillos that spring to life with a few drops of rain. Marwitz’s landscapes reflect the solitude, open spaces, and hardy flora on the scrabble of the desert floor in Far West Texas.

The Songs of the Ocotillo poetry book, poetry broadside poster, and art are available for purchase online at www.mixhausgallery.com.
